Lowfield Road.

Petition: Fix the Lowfield Road school crossing

Parents dropping their children off at the Lowfield Road crossing are regularly seeing cars speed past without slowing down. Drivers have looked straight at families waiting to cross, even when parents point at the children?crossing sign, and still kept going. It is frightening and frustrating, and it shows how unsafe this spot has become.

Parents shouldn’t have to worry about their children’s safety at a school crossing. Every day that drivers ignore it, the chance of something going badly wrong goes up.

Families have raised concerns again and again, but nothing has changed. They are left facing a daily risk that shouldn’t exist, and it is clear their voices haven’t been taken seriously.

Please sign this petition if you want to see a positive change in the area. The Council saying it doesn’t have enough “casualty” numbers to act is not acceptable. No one should have to wait for an accident before something is done. Residents need to push the Council to take this seriously.
