Our Councillors

The Liberal Democrat councillors on Reading Borough Council work hard for their communities all year round, not just at election time.  All three are engaged with the work of the council, holding both Reading's Labour local government and the national Conservative government to account and demanding a fair deal for Reading.

Councillor James Moore (right) is the leader of the Liberal Democrats on Reading Borough Council, representing Tilehurst.  He works for a well-known toy company and is a former chair of the Reading Campaign for Real Ale.

Councillor Meri O'Connell (left) is the deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats on Reading Borough Council, representing Tilehurst.  She is a popular teacher in a nearby secondary school.

Councillor Anne Thompson (centre) is a Councillor representing Tilehurst on Reading Borough Council.  She is a professional translator between English and a variety of Eastern European languages.
