Vania Costa-Krol and Jo Ramsay for Caversham Heights
In 2026, there are two vacancies up for election in Caversham Heights, so residents here will be able to cast two votes.
Vania Costa-Krol is an NHS worker and young mother from Caversham; she is passionate about ensuring that Caversham Heights remains a safe, nurturing community for all residents. She loves being part of Reading's vibrant community and can often be seen walking in the parks along the riverside with her children. She is keen that Reading builds on the strengths of its diverse communities and continues to be a welcoming town to all. She is passionate about the environment and the defence of our civil liberties against an increasingly authoritarian government. Vania is also keen to ensure that people get the specialist support they need, particularly SEN children and neurodiverse adults in society and the workplace.

Dr Jo Ramsay has lived in Caversham for 22 years. Jo says:
“I'm Jo Ramsay, one of your Liberal Democrat candidates for Caversham Heights. I've lived in Caversham for over 20 years and, like you, I want to see our community thrive. My background — from telecoms engineering to social care — means I understand both local infrastructure and the needs of real people. Residents tell me the same things: potholes, poor flood drainage, unreliable buses, and crumbling pavements. These matter, and I'll fight to fix them. I'm equally committed to protecting our green spaces, improving health and social care, and keeping our neighbourhood safe. I'll also hold Reading's Labour council to account, challenging schemes where the costs don't stack up for local people and ensuring your money is spent wisely. Let's make Caversham Heights somewhere we're all proud to live.”
