Substandard Mobile Homes to Go at Last

It is very welcome news that the Council are finally planning to clear the mobile home site off Lowfield Road.
These emergency homes were only intended to be very temporary, but have outlasted all other mobile provision in Reading. The site will be empty and the residents re-housed by Easter. Annette said, “I’ve visited families in these mobiles. They are damp, draughty and not fit for children to live in.” Rubbish dumped on the site, and overflowing drains have also caused problems for residents who live nearby. We will keep you informed of plans for the site.
