An Audience with Nick Harvey MP
Budget pressures across Europe and America are causing nation states to work together more intrinsically to keep their borders secure and keep the peace.
Britain and France have struck deals in multi-lateral defence talks, meanwhile the ‘Arab Spring’ and tensions between Israel, the US and Iran dominate the defence agenda.
Nick Harvey MP is Minister of State for the Armed Forces and is our welcome guest to this free public event.
Nick will begin with a short speech, followed by your chance to ask any questions.
Recent events that may be helpful in shaping your questions include:
- The British Government’s decision to sign a new Global Arms Treaty
- The start of a Cross-Party Committee co-chaired by Liberal Democrat Sir Menzies Campbell into alternatives to renewing the Trident Nuclear Missile System – a final decision for which is due to be made after the next General Election.
